ESLI Language Centers are located on the campus of the following USA and Canadian universities and secondary school.

The ESLI language centers are designed to prepare students from non-English speaking countries to prepare for successful entry and study at North American universities and secondary schools.

ESLI Language Centers are integrated into the academic, social and cultural life of each affiliated university and secondary school to give our students a fully enriched study abroad experience.

Located on the campus of the ESLI affiliated schools, ESLI provides each student with the opportunity to mix with North American students in the dorms, social clubs, athletic events, school dining halls, on the tennis courts and soccer fields, etc.

Conditional Admission or English Only

Students who attend ESLI have the choice of Conditional Admission or English Only studies. Students who qualify academically for Conditional Admission receive the affiliated university I-20 and acceptance letter for English and the degree program.

English Only is available for students who want to study for short-term periods.

Scholarships and Graduate Assistantships
are available at McNeese State University

All students who complete the ESLI program at McNeese State University are qualified for a $1,000 per term SCHOLARSHIP to be applied to the tuition cost of the undergraduate or graduate degree program at McNeese State University. The scholarship is available for up to four (4) consecutive semesters for graduate students or up to eight (8) consecutive semesters for undergraduate students or until the degree is obtained, whichever comes first. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA and enroll full-time (9 semester hours).

GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS are available to ESLI students who complete the ESLI program at McNeese State University. Graduate assistantships are equal to one half the tuition and it waives the non-resident fee and the foreign student fee for the McNeese State University Master degree program.

In addition to the Graduate Assistantship which pays for 1 the graduate tuition and waives the non-resident fee, ESLI students receive up to an additional $2,000 cash over the semester for spending money. Assistantships require up to 20 hours work each week.

Over the past school year, every ESLI student who has applied has received either the graduate assistantship or scholarship. Graduate students choose either the scholarship or graduate assistantship. All undergraduate students can choose the scholarship. The graduate assistantship and scholarship can not be combined with each other or any other exemption or waiver.

An example of an ESLI graduate student semester invoice is as follows:

PLUS, the ESLI student receives an additional payment in cash of up to $2,000 for up to 20 hours worked as part of the Graduate Assistantship. The student can use these funds for room and board ($1,255 per semester) or keep the $2,000 for spending money.

ESLI is pleased to be able to offer such outstanding terms and conditions to our students and our very important educational representatives.

All students who complete the ESLI program at Western Kentucky University and who then enroll in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at Western Kentucky University will be granted a SCHOLARSHIP to REDUCE tuition costs from out-of-state fees to in-state tuition costs.

This reduces the WKU tuition for the current year:

WKU offers ESLI students the opportunity to apply for work-study positions, or for a graduate assistantship. As always, only qualified applicants (whether American or international students) will be considered for these competitive assistantships. Work-study payments are based on the minimum wage requirements of the U.S. government, and graduate assistantship payments vary by department ($2000.00 per semester is the minimum).

There are several SCHOLARSHIPS available at West Texas A&M University for international students. Students who complete the ESLI program at West Texas A&M University and who then enroll in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at West Texas A&M University can apply for SCHOLARSHIPS and GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS to reduce tuition cost to in-state tuition costs.

If a student receives a scholarship of $1,000 or more, the ESLI student will pay in-state tuition rather than out-of-state tuition.

WTAMU per semester tuition for the current year:

West Texas A&M University also offers international students work assistantship programs that enable the students to earn up to $2,000 per term by working on campus. These funds can be used for spending money or applied to the students tuition, room and board as determined by the student.
